We recognize that gender equity is something for which we must fight.
In more extreme, but tragically all-too common, cases, gender-based violence takes place. Unfortunately, the Church has not always supported victims/survivors of gender-based violence.
We will strive to do better.

While valuing gender equity, The Salvation Army acknowledges with regret that Salvationists have sometimes conformed to society and organizational norms that perpetuate sexism. We are committed to model the equitable valuing, equipping and mobilizing of men and women, and will speak into societies around the world where sexism exists.
